You might not have pocked up on it, but I’m east Asian. So all these hate crimes against ALL Asians is making me SICK.
We didn’t start the virus. Blaming us for COVID-19 is like blaming Germans for Hitler, or the Christians for KKK. And no, the chinese virus is NOT COVID-19’s name. Calling it that only gives racists the green light to hate not just the Chinese, but ALL Asians.
There’s also a difference between Asian cultures. India and China are as different as America and England. So is Japan and Taiwan, or Vietnam and Thailand. Don’t classify all Asians as Asian. We have unique cultures and unique lifestyles and unique languages.
And last of all, STOP ASIAN HATE.
