Hi everyone! Today I’ll talk about another REALLY important issue:Black Lives Matter.
Of course, I won’t just share information about it. I’ll explain to you WHY you should believe in it. I’ll provide 1 fun fact under each reason.
1 Black lives have been oppressed for centuries
Fun fact: Black Lives Matter was founded in 2013.
Over the centuries, black lives have been oppressed by white ones. From slavery, to the Jim Crow Laws (just terrible), black lives have been regarded as lesser than white ones. Racists, that’s not true.
2 Black people are still facing a lot of racism today
Fun fact: Whereas public opinion on Black Lives Matter was net negative in 2018, it grew increasingly popular through 2019 and 2020.
Most people say racism is basically non-existent today. Well, guess what. That’s wrong. Black people are more likely to be killed by police (because of the bias) and the KKK( Ku Klux Khan) is still VERY active(bad). So to those people who say racism is gone, well, it’s still here.
The conclusion of this article is that Black lives are just as important as white ones, so please support this movement.
